Biotin: The Pros and Cons of the "Beauty Vitamin"

Biotin, a.k.a. Vitamin B7, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in maintaining and growing healthy hair.

Vitamin B7 promotes the production of keratin, a protein that forms the structural foundation of hair and therefore helps in preventing hair loss and leading to stronger hair growth. However, scientifically speaking we still lack solid evidence that biotin supplements can induce great amounts of hair growth. Asian herbs on the other hand have been studied since generations.

These herbs like Clitoria ternatea or Glutinosa have proven their effectiveness in bringing about hair growth and strengthening hair from the follicles itself. If one has biotin deficiency then the supplements might work like magic, however many don’t and this could result in digestive issues, such as nausea, diarrhea, or cramping. Moreover, it is important to consult a healthcare professional before taking biotin, especially if you have any existing medical conditions or are taking medication.

Such problems are avoidable with natural substances and herbs that have none to bare minimum side effects. A few herbs that we use in our products are Ginger, Indian Gooseberry, Curcuma, Clitoria ternatea and Glutinosa. A quick search on Google and you would know how well these herbs preform and how long has their usage been studied and applauded on.

We plant and harvest these herbs ourselves in Thailand and translate them into beautiful formulas that work better and cheaper than the “Beauty Vitamin” called Biotin. Our recommendation would be to use our products for 4-8 weeks and see a positive change yourself. At Luxuriant, we are 100% Natural and use absolutely no chemicals to give you the best of products.
